Wilbur, a rescue Pittie, changed Milla and her family’s lives after they fostered and eventually adopted him. Five months ago, Milla took Wilbur home from the pound.
He was fresh out of the shelter, so he needed new toys, and Wilbur was checked out every aisle of the store. Then Milla took him home with his new toys.
Milla was surprised when Wilbur ran straight to the horses and was excited to meet them. He was shy around people, but he opened up to another dog named Patty Cake.
Patty Cake showed Wilbur how to be part of a family and taught him to be a dog. Wilbur didn’t know how to play, and Patty Cake showed him how.
Once Wilbur came out of his shell, they saw how funny and personable he was. Milla’s daughter, Rinnah, became very close with Wilbur. He was constantly licking Rinnah.
While fostering Wilbur, they had considered keeping him. Then on Christmas, they finally made it official. They still foster many dogs, and they are always introduced to Patty Cake and Wilbur.
Patty Cake is the counselor because she is calm and sweet, while Wilbur is the activity director. Milla said that Wilbur is a loving, generous and kind dog. He is always ready to go on an adventure and play.
