Shannon thought her first pet would be a dog, but she got a Bearded Dragon named Puff instead. She was allergic to dogs and cats, so Puff was perfect for her.
Puff is like a child to Shannon, and she takes her everywhere. Shannon finds it interesting that Bearded Dragons need social interaction just like people. Puff will stay close to Shannon all day.
On a typical day, Puff will stay with Shannon while she works. She sits on her shoulder and rests against her neck. Sometimes she will plop on the computer keyboard and stop Shannon from working.
Shannon saw that Puff always loved riding in the car with her. As they go on their trips, Puff will be looking out the window the entire time. She even has a small sling where she can rest.
They went everywhere together, from Starbucks to a pool. Puff enjoyed sitting on a lawn chair and sunbathing. Then Shannon was surprised when Puff jumped in the water and started swimming.
She had never seen a lizard swim before, so it was a memorable moment for her. Puff is very independent and has learned to do many things on her own.
When she wants to go in or out, she will go by a door like a dog. Shannon never taught her that, and she loves Puff so much for that and so much more.
