Adopter Brings Cat Home from Shelter and He is So Grateful He Becomes Her “Supervisor”

Beautiful long-haired Belarus was as heartbroken as his family was when they were forced to relinquish him to a shelter. Large, fluffy, and affectionate, he couldn’t get enough human attention. San Francisco resident Rachel stumbled on an Instagram post showing the cross-eyed Belarus and knew he would be her new family.

The gray ball of fluff cuddled right up to Rachel when she came to the shelter to meet him and fate was sealed for both of them that day. Apparently, Belarus wants to make sure he knows where his human is and what she is doing every moment that she is home.

Like a shadow, he follows her all over her house and throughout her daily routine. Rachel laughs that she cannot even use the bathroom without his company: “There is no privacy with Belarus in the house,” she quips.

He watches her in the shower, ready to console her after the torment he assumes she must have endured. He checks out the contents of her refrigerator when she opens the door, ready to signal his “paws up” or “paws down”. No matter what she is doing, he is right there by her side. Rachel has adopted the perfect “supervisor” and life couldn’t be better for either of them.
