Mother Cat and Kittens Rescued from Impounded Car Thrive in Foster Home

Just before the impounded car was to be towed, a sanitation worker discovered a mother cat and her litter of kittens living inside, and the feline family made it to Little Wanderers Rescue barely in time to save them. Following a routine check from a veterinarian, the squirmy group of fur-balls and their mom settled into their new foster home where they had safe shelter and the food would be plentiful.

Clearly no stranger to indoor living and human interaction, the attentive mother cat, dubbed LaBelle, rapidly acclimated to her new surroundings and proceeded to nurse her hungry brood. Whenever LaBelle was ready for a break from her motherly duties, the amiable mom-cat would approach foster mom Staci, requesting human affection.

It came to the attention of the fosters that LaBelle’s supply of milk for her kittens was insufficient, prompting the caretakers to provide supplemental feedings for the kittens to ensure they would thrive and grow. LaBelle seemed to understand the extra help and chirped in appreciation. She expressed her affectionate nature and gratitude at all opportunities.

The kittens flourished under the attentive care of their mother with help from the fosters, and eventually, the kittens were strong enough and old enough to be adopted, in pairs, to loving homes. Mama LaBelle, who had an enormous capacity for love, found her forever home after she could see that all her kittens would be happy and healthy with new human families.
